Ms. Mansfield began her career as a patent attorney as an associate at the New York law firm of Morgan & Finnegan, LLP where she was responsible for preparing opinions of counsel, participating in many aspects of patent jury trials, and prosecuting patents for inventions in fields such as telecommunications, electronics and medical devices.
Ms. Mansfield joined Motorola, Inc. in 1995 and spent seven years at Motorola as a patent attorney. Ms. Mansfield gained extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of a wide variety of technology transfer agreements and advised all Motorola business units regarding the intellectual property aspects of strategic business transactions, such as acquisitions, divestitures, minority equity investments, strategic alliances and joint ventures. Ms. Mansfield also managed all aspects of a worldwide docket of patent applications, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the field of wireless communications, with emphasis on code division multiple access (CDMA) technology, including transmitter and receiver products, software, network architecture, electronic devices, packaging, applications and communication standards.
